US troop transport arrives in Berlin after trip through Soviet zone

The commander of the Berlin US brigade, General Frederick O. Hartel (r), weloming the US Lieutenant Colonel Dean D. Bekken (l) after his arrival in Berlin on 6th April 1964. Bekken and his convoy, coming from the FGR, had to drive through the Soviet zone to relieve the US troops already stationed in Berlin. The journey proceeded without any problems.
