The covered corpse at the scene of crime. The highest prosecutor of the Federal Republic of Germany was killed through shots from a machine gun, which were fired from a motorcycle on the 7th of April in 1977. His driver Wolfgang Göbel died as well, the severely injured judicial officer Georg Wurster died on the 13th of April. Letters of responsibility, sent to several news agencies and magazines, the "Command Ulrike Meinhof of the RAF" confessed to the attack. RAF terrorists Knut Folkerts (1980), as well as Brigitte Mohnhaupt and Christian Klar (both 1985) were sentenced to lifelong imprisonment for murder.
