Bomb attack on US headquarters in Heidelberg

View of the ruins one day after the bomb attack. Two bombs exploded in civilian vehicles on the area of the US headquarters in Heidelberg on the 24th of May in 1972. Three US soldiers were killed, five people injured. The Red Army Faction (RAF) admitted to many of the terrorist attacks on institutions and soldiers of the US armed forces in Germany, which had been carried out since 1972.
