Securing of evidence at the vehicle. The BMW entered one of the 20 road blocks on the 15th of July in 1971, which were set up during the search for the Baader-Meinhof group. The two passengers opened the fire and tried to escape by foot. 20 year old Petra Schelm was killed by a head shot, her companion Werner Hoppe was arrested shortly afterwards. A public discussion about the quality of the police shooting practice started.
