Festivities on farewell of western Allies from Berlin at Airlift monument

The official ceremony on the occasion of the farewell of the western Allies from Berlin had ended shortly before.
Besides German chancellor Kohl, the heads of states of France and Great Britain, Mitterand and Major, as well as US foreign minister Warren Christopher, participated in the festivities.
Like Russia did, the governments of the western Allies withdrew all their troops from Berlin at the end of 1994 after 49 years.
