Russian general Paul Edler von Rennenkampf (2nd of left), chief of the Neman army, has breakfast with his headquarters personnel in a hotel in Insterburg (East Prussia) after the outbreak of World War I in 1914. He is blamed for the devastating defeat of the Russian Narew and Neman army at the Battle of Tannenberg at the end of August in 1914.
