A contemporary photograph of Prussian general and military leader (Battle of Tannenberg 1914) Erich Ludendorff, who effectively decided together with Paul von Hindenburg about German politics during World War I.
After the military failure, he stepped back and was dismissed by Emperor Wilhelm II. on the 26th of October in 1918.
