German soldiers enjoy themselves with a handcraftet puppet and writings like "Holiday greeting to Paris" in front of a train shortly before the transportation of troops during World War I in 1914. Emperor Wilhelm II. announced the general mobilistaion on the 1st of August in 1914.
Set off by the deadly shots on Austrian heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand by Serbian nationalists on the 28th of June in 1914 in Sarajevo, World War I broke out.
