The German delegation with foreign minister of the Reich Gustav Stresemann (3rd of left) and Imperial Chancellor Hans Luther (4th of right). The security pact between Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Poland and Czechoslovakia was signed in Locarno, Italy, on the 16th of October in 1925. The treaty seemed to smooth the way for a united Europe. Due to the National Socialists' foreign policy and the occupation of the demilitarised Rhineland in 1936 made the agreement a maculation.. +++(c) dpa - Report+++
