Friedrich Ebert (m) gives a speech on the 9th of November in 1918 on the square in front of Brandenburg Gate. The last empire collapsed that day, the SPD politician became chancellor and later first president of the Weimar Republic (1919-1925). Ebert was born on the 4th of February in 1871 in Heidelberg and died on the 28th of February in 1925 in Berlin.
