Unionist and SPD politician during his time as minister of the interior (1928-1930) of Weimar Republic. He was involved in building up the SPD and was member of the Landtag in North Rhine-Westphalia. Carl Severing was born in Herford on the 1st of June in 1875 and died in Bielefeld on the 23rd of July in 1952.
