The great-grandson of Adam Opel will celebrate his 70th birthday on 14 November 2002. In the 1960's Sachs created a sensation as a playboy with his many exploits on the party scene making him a favourite of the yellow-press. He is considered one of the discoverers of St. Tropez putting it on the map as a symbol of the jet-set. His 1966 marriage to Brigitte Bardot made headlines around the world.
