Russian trucks with supplies cross the iced Lake Ladoga in 1942. The Red Army could provide Leningrad with supplied via this iced street in the winter months 1941/1942 and 1942/1943.
The attack of the German Wehrmacht on the Soviet Union on the 22nd of June in 1941 was going under the alias "Operation Barbarossa".
