Whether you call them a ‘Trinkhalle', a ‘kiosk' or a ‘Büdchen' – in Frankfurt, these small stalls, which have a long tradition as part of the cityscape, are known as ‘Wasserhäuschen' (or, in Hessian dialect: ‘Wasserhäusje') . On 12 September 2026, the so-called ‘Wasserhäusje Day' will take place, when around 20 selected ‘Wasserhäuschen' will become venues for music, culture and community gatherings, in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany
