The margay (Leopardus wiedii) is listed as near threatened by the IUCN. I was lucky to capture this image of a young margay on a liana in a rainforest on the outskirts of the Arenal Volcano National Park. This individual's mother was killed by hunters, and the young female was confiscated from the hunters and released back into the wild
