Aimable Jean Jacques Pelissier (1794-1864), French soldier, 1857, served in Spain, Algeria and the Crimea. During the Crimean War (Russo-Turkish War) 1853-1856, Pelissier commanded the first corps of the French army to co-operate with the British at Sebastapol. Took Fort Malakoff by storm (1856) .
