Vogelherd Cave (Vogelherd for short) near Niederstotzingen in the Lone Valley in Baden-Württemberg. The karst cave is an important site from the Upper Palaeolithic period in Central Europe. In 2017, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the six caves of the World Heritage Site Caves and Ice Age Art of the Swabian Jura. The cave and the Archaeopark Museum are permanently closed because the town of Niederstotzingen stopped funding them. Until its closure, 35, 000 visitors came to the archaeopark every year. Niederstotzingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
