Charles III (Spanish: Carlos Sebastián de Borbón y Farnesio, Italian: Carlo Sebastiano di Borbone, born 20 January 1716 in Madrid, died 14 December 1788 in Madrid) was King of Spain from 10 August 1759 until his death. Prior to that, he was Duke of Parma and Piacenza from 29 December 1731 to 3 October 1735 as Charles I, King of Sicily from 3 July 1735 to 10 August 1759 as Charles V and simultaneously King of Naples as Charles VII, reproduction from an original of the time, historical, digitally enhanced
