Casimir I Charles the Renewer, Polish: Kazimierz I Odnowiciel, (born 26 July 1016, died 28 November 1058 in Poznan) was the son of the Polish King Mieszko II Lambert from his marriage to the niece of Emperor Otto III, the German Princess Richeza. Casimir was therefore the great-grandson of Emperor Otto II and a cognate of the German high nobility.
