Gratian (born 18 April 359 in Sirmium, died 25 August 383 in Lugdunum), whose full name was Flavius Gratianus, was emperor in the west of the Roman Empire from 375 to 383, but was already appointed co-emperor by his father Valentinian I in 367. Together with Theodosius I, he made Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire, authentic, digitally restored reproduction from a 19th century original, record date not stated
