In Dresden, not far from the Zwinger in the green space west of the Zwinger pond, a stele erected in 1985 commemorates Schütz's work in Dresden. Berndt Wilde created this memorial in 1972, which consists of a sandstone stele on which bronze plaques depicting scenes from Schütz's time are displayed
