Exposition Universelle (World Fair) Paris, 1900; the exhibition of the history of food, the main exhibit being the enormous merchant ship sponsored by the House of Menier "A la gloire du chocolat"; the ship is called the Royal Vessel, Triumphant, which returned to Brest in October 1679, after having initiated a trade route to Antilles. It brought chocolate from plantations in Martinique to Louis XIV.
