Line drawing of the Last Judgement tympanum at Rheims. Christ, the judge, is the apex f the composition. Beneath him the dead rise from their graves. At the next level the blessed are seated on thrones and the damned. The bottom level are the saved souls being brought to Abraham's bosom, whilst the condemned are dragged by devils to the cauldron of Hell. Dated 14th Century
