Fresco titled 'The Triumph of St Thomas' attributed to Andrea da Firenze. St Thomas is depicted, enthroned, as the focus of an allegory on learning. In his hands he displays the Wisdom of Solomon: the passage begins, 'I prayed, and understanding was given to me'. The fresco as a whole provides a comprehensive scheme of mediaeval learning. Dated 14th Century
