Simpiwe Malangeni lives in a room in Hostel Number 33, Lwandle township. While most of the labour hostels in the township have been renovated into one room flats, Number 33 has been left as it was during the apartheid era as a reminder of what it was like. People, such as Simpiwe, are still living there, however, a temporary measure until other accommodation can be organised.
