The child is affiliated to the Kamajors, civilian paramilitary group fighting for the government against the rebels in Sierra Leone's civil. Children account for half of those killed in the Sierra Leone conflict, and of the estimated 20% of the population disabled by the fighting, the majority are children. (Photo by Christine Nesbitt)
