JAMES VAN DER BEEK (March 8, 1977 - February 11, 2026) was an American actor known for his portrayal of Dawson Leery on The WB's 'Dawson's Creek' (1998–2003). On August 31, 2023, Van Der Beek was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, but did not make his diagnosis public until November 2024. He died on February 11, 2026, aged 48.
