Female figure, from Electrotype copy of the early 18th century silver wine-cooler made by Charles Kandler. The original, now in the Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia, was commissioned by the goldsmith-banker Henry Jerningham who wanted to create the largest ever wine cooler celebrating the pleasures of wine. The Bacchanalian scenes were created by sculptor John Michael Rysbrack.
