Illustration taken from the Persian collection 'Tutinama' (Tales of a Parrot); a 14th-century series of 83 stories divided into 52 'nights'.
In the 16th century, the Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned an illustrated version with 250 painted miniatures, from which the illustration comes.
