Imagined situation of the Garden of Eden, in this case, in Mesopotamia, just east of Babylon. After a map by Jan Luyken from a work by Samuel Bochart, 1599 - 1667, in Borchart's a€˜Geographia Sacra' (Leiden, 1692). Bochart places the Garden of Eden at the confluence of Euphrates and Tigris. The tiny figures of Adam and Eve are just visible. .
