Even in the midst of the important Roosevelt-Churchill conference at Casablanca, the mythical Short Snorters club has its moment. Those who fly the ocean are eligible to become Short Snorters. As evidence of member ship, they carry a dollar bill signed by one of more other short snorters. Here, Lt. Col Elliott Roosevelt, the President's son, has jsut asked Major Gen Patton is he is a short snorter. Patton, having answered in the affirmative, is groping in his wallet to produce his wigned dollar bill.
