Ireland. Agricultural agitation. The Earl of Huntingdon, who had invited several ladies and gentlemen of the aristocracy to a hunt he had organised on his property in Knockshegowna, being surprised by a group of settlers, at the crossroads of Knockcree. After several threats, wielding sticks, whipping the dogs and throwing large stones, he was forced to retreat to his palace, abandoning the hunting. Engraving by Bernardo Rico (1825-1894).
