Spain. Journey of the Spanish royal family to the Cantabrian coast. King Alfonso XII (1857-1885), Queen Maria Cristina (1858-1929) and the Infantas Paz and Eulalia. The queen Maria Cristina had promised to visit the town of Suances. On September 14, 1881, the queen and the infantas embarked from Comillas to Suances beach (Santander province). Two ox carts were prepared, as there were no other types of vehicles in the area, for the transportation of the queen, the infantas and servants. Arrival of the royal family to the beach of Suances.
