Portugal, Porto. Clerigos Church. Its construction began in 1732 and was finished in 1750. It was built for the Brotherhood of the Clerigos (Clergy) in Baroque style by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni (1691-1773). The bell tower, called Torre dos Clerigos, was the tallest building in Portugal when it was completed in 1763 by the same architect, Nicolau Nasoni. Drawing by J. Bastinos.
