Turkey. Didyma. Temple of Apollo. It was built in the 6th century BC and destroyed by the Persians to punish the Milletans for their rebellion. In 334 BC Alexander the Great liberated the cities of Ionia and ordered the enlargement of the temple. Partial view of the chresmographeion (store of oracles). Anatolia.
