Germany. Berlin. New Synagogue (Neue Synagoge). Built in 1859-66 by German architects Eduard Knoblauch (1801-1865) and, after his death by Friedrich August Stuler (1800-1865). It was destroyed by the Nazis during the World War II and reconstructed between 1988-1991 by Bernhard Leisering(1951-2012). Detail. Dome with gilded ribs and crowned byt the Star of David.
