Ayer's Cherry Pectoral 1890. A Victorian medical tradecard for a "quack" medical cure showing two little girls and a giant bottle of syrup. The pectoral is for the cure of colds, coughs, & all diseases of the throat and lungs. Many cards of the era had images used over and over again for a variety of products. The same images can be for medicine or candy. The graphics were intended to catch attention and improve the product's sales.
