A nurse at the Horace Berk Memorial Hospital prepare an insulin injection for the treatment of insanity. Dr. Manfre Sakel of Vienna discovered three years ago that an "insulin shot shock treatment" causes the body to burn its sugar, depriving the brain of its sole source of energy and often induces violent shock which frequently effects a complete cure of the mental ailment.
