Title
Boy Climbing Mont Blanc
Caption
Alps: c. 1929
An amazing climb has been accomplished by Fernand Loeffel, a Swiss boy mountaineer from Geneva, who is 10 years and 9 months old. He had climbed Mont Blanc nearly to the top and when near the summit he was overtaken by a terrific gale and had to retreat to refuge 14,000 feet above sea level. Here he is resting during his climb of Mont Blanc.
