Fiji, Dancing at a 'sevusevu' ceremonyTwo Fijian men perform a dance with fans at a traditional 'sevusevu' welcoming ceremony. They wear ceremonial costume including dramatic face paint, skirts made from strips of fabric and leis made from leaves. Behind them is a traditional wooden ‘tanoa’ (bowl), which is used during the ceremony to mix an infusion of water and powdered kava root (Piper methysticum).
