Zoser's enclosure, Occupied by stone replicas of kiosks and chapels for the celebration of the royal jubilee festivals (heb-sed). It is likely that during the Old Kingdom these festivals took place at Ineb-hedj (Memphis). The structures here were provided for the jubilee the king hoped to enjoy in the afterlife. Egypt. Ancient Egyptian. 5th dynasty, circa 2494-2345 BC. Saqqara.
