The minaret of the ruined mosque of al-Mansura, The city of al-Mansura was built and rebuilt by the Marinid sultans from Morocco who invaded the central Maghrib in the 14th circa It was intended to take the place of the Ziyanid capital of Tlemcen a mile or two away. When the Marinids retreated, al-Mansura was abandoned and destroyed. Algeria. Marinid period, 1303 & 1306. near Tlemcen.
