Plug from a drag float, carved in ivory in the form of a human face, The tattoo marks on the chin suggest that it represents a female. Drag floats were made from the skin of a seal which was inflated by blowing through a mouthpiece capped with a plug. The plugs also served as charms for successful hunting. Eskimo.
