Paul Follot (1877 - 1941)
Demi-lune cabinet in sycamore veneer and solid sycamore. It features three drawers with fronts carved with wide flutes and handles simulating stylized fuchsia flowers and rows of pearls. The curved doors opening onto a sycamore interior are adorned with marquetry tiles in ebony and burgau fillets. The uprights and lower belts are highlighted with stylized ebony and tin fillet marquetry. It rests on four sheath feet with high foliage-wrapped bronze sabots in gunmetal patina. The cabinet, topped with pink marble veined with gray, is surmounted by a tall mirror with thirty-five tiles framed in sycamore marquetry with ebony and tin fillets.
