Paul Follot (1877 - 1941)
Pair of French maple chairs with medallion backs inlaid with amaranth and ebony, featuring a basket-weave motif filled with fruit—grapes, apples, and pears.
The molded seat rail, inlaid with amaranth and ebony, is supported by front legs with flared, gadrooned upper sections ending in blackened wood ball feet.
Seats upholstered in original brown leather.
Exhibited at the 1912 Salon d’Automne.
