Séverine, real name Caroline Rémy de Guebhard (1855-1929). French writer, journalist and critic. She wrote for several newspapers of her time (Le Cri du Peuple, La Fronde, L'Humanité) and was prompt to denounce soical injustices and to support certain anarchist causes. Contributed to the creation of the League of Human Rights.
