From 1st September, the same date that the Peace Treaty liberating American territories from their English colonies was signed, numerous diplomats assembled in Versailles. Before their departure, wishing to impress the diplomats, Louis XVI asked that a balloon demonstration was made in Versailles on the 19th Sepember. Etienne decided to build a new balloon one thousand four hundred cubic metres more resistant. Under the management of Etienne and Jean-Baptiste Réveillon, the construction workers completed the unexpected, finishing its construction within five days. On the 18th September in front of 300 fascinated spectators, a fixed flight was made in the rue de Montreuil. The following day a new experiment was carried out in the presence of the diplomats and in front of the Royal Family in Versailles.
