Info+
The Nevers bridge and the aerostats were amongst the most interesting design subjects for faience commissions in Nevres toxwards the end of the eighteenth century. The design on this plate brings together these two subjects, complete with an elaborate ensemble of radiant branches. During this period of time the Nevers faiences were transported and distributed by water channels, thanks to the famous bargemen of the Loire.
