Margaret Thatcher spent the weekend in the country with her husband Dennis decorating their new country Belfry Flat at Scotney Castle, Lamberhurst, near Tunbridge Wells,Kent.

Dressed for the occasionin a matching green jumper and skirt with a printed overall she wielded a paintbrush like a profesional.
She explained that it would have cost £75.00 per room to have the decorators in, and reminded us that Churchill had once built a wall.
