One of the reception rooms at the time of General Nguyen Van Thieu, before the communist victory of 1975, when this place was still called the Independence Palace, a building rebuilt in 1962 on the site of the former Norodom Palace on the plans of the architect Ngo Viet Thu, first Vietnamese winner of the Prix de Rome.
